Comparity | Our Company

Our Mission: Simplify insurance shopping for everyone.

Our Vision

We think there must be a better way to shop for insurance, compare “apples-to-apples” options, and buy the right policy for the best price. For home insurance especially, it's difficult to shop anonymously, compare options, and make an informed decision. That's not a good situation for anyone when it comes to protecting people's most valuable material asset, their homes. It's not practical for insurance carriers to deliver and present their policy quotes in the same way and there is no incentive for them to do so. Insurance quote aggregators extract more value from the industry and consumers than aggregators contribute.

That's why we’re creating a better market for buyers and sellers of personal insurance through a superior digital shopping experience.

Our goal is to simplify the insurance shopping experience from acquisition through purchase by connecting insurance shoppers with insurance agents in a virtual marketplace.

Who We Are

We are an insurance technology company headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA, specializing in distribution of property and casualty lines for all carriers.

We use technology to streamline the process of comparing underwritten quotes for multiple lines of insurance (home, auto, umbrella, and more) across multiple companies, including brand name carriers that no one else compares.

We use technology to simplify insurance shopping so everyone wins.

Comparing home insurance for homebuyers is our specialty.

Home buyers like us because we give them anonymous access to the most carriers, side-by-side comparison of actual quotes, and licensed, unbiased guidance when they need it.

Realtors and mortgage lenders send us business because we streamline a critical element in the closing process with fast, reliable, and trackable means of servicing their clients insurance needs -- from loan application to proof of insurance.

Insurance agencies partner with us because we send them engaged insurance shoppers who need to buy without any up front lead fees. Insurance agents pay us only when they win new business through Comparity.

Insurance Carriers are paying attention to us because we provide precise customer targeting that matches carriers with clients who best fit risk profiles while protecting the consumers’ ability to shop anonymously.

When people shop for insurance through Comparity there's no need for them to go anywhere else to match their unique needs with the best carrier to cover those needs.

Everyone wants to know...

How is Comparity different?

Comparity gives anyone the power of a personal, licensed agent who works to find the right coverage at the best price. Other companies provide generic rate estimates in exchange for personal information or a shot at selling their insurance.

We don't guess and we don't sell insurance. We find and deliver quotes that are ready to purchase and help understand options. Other companies lead with the lowest calculable prices and quit.

Read their fine print: "contact may be made using an automatic dialer or prerecorded voice calls" and "Call...directly by dialing the number listed below. Please note that any information you've previously entered won't be transferred."

Our mission at Comparity is to help people shop for insurance. It's just that simple.

Why can't people shop for their own insurance without Comparity?

Anyone can shop for their own insurance without Comparity. But consider for a moment how that works. Quotes aren't accurate without detailed, personal information. Insurance can't be purchased without accurate, complete applications.

Without Comparity insurance shoppers must complete a lengthy application for each insurance company being compared. Without Comparity shoppers have to schedule multiple appointments with multiple agents.

With Comparity insurance shoppers complete one application and work with one agent to get multiple quotes.

How does Comparity make money?

Insurance agencies pay us a fee each time they get new business through Comparity.

Agencies like our model because it's pay for performance. We're not in the business of selling contact info to every agent who will pay a lead fee. We send completed applications to agents for free and only charge if we bring them new business. Our agency partners even sign an agreement not to contact our clients unless clients engage first.
